I was recently pointed in the direction of a new podcast created by Nadia Raeburn-Cherradi and Gwenllian Tawy looking to highlight the inclusive side of caving. Below is some wording from the creators of this superb podcast.
Underground Ramblings is a podcast that aims to expand caving storytelling and to share a more diverse understanding of how the people in our community experience caving. We wanted to change the narrative away from always focusing on ‘the best, the hardest, the strongest.’ We have produced 5 episodes for our first season all are available on our website. Due to the historic underrepresentation of women in caving we chose to only have female guests this first season.
Moving forward, we want to include as many perspectives as possible to best represent our community. With that in mind we also envision having more people involved in the project. If you have an episode idea or know someone who would make an interesting guest, please let us know and we can help produce an episode with you.
