Earlier in 2021, I was contacted by Rob Watson of CHECC in hope of some funding for some online yoga sessions for university cavers.
With the backing of BCA, CHECC were able to arrange 16 online Yoga sessions which are all available for the entire BCA membership to follow along with on their website.
Throughout the pandemic and various lockdowns CHECC have developed their image as a one stop shop for all things university caving, and their professional looking website is certainly worth taking a look at.
Their Student caving trip options in the dales is a great resource for students and non-students alike.
As University clubs come out the other side of multiple lockdowns, where they’ve been faced with obstacle after obstacle, it would be great if alumni could reach out to their clubs to check in with them. The passing on from peer to peer of experience and knowledge is something that university clubs do fantastically, and this can only be done if contact is kept. If you are an alumni but can’t make contact with your old club, please reach out to CHECC.

Youth & Development Officer
BCA will continue to fund and support youth led initiatives like this, and sees it as a key role of the association, and one that all members should be proud of.
If you have any ideas for university caving, please feel free to contact either CHECC or myself, Josh at .
