Public Liability Insurance limits increased

Due to a recently settled claim under another NGB’s public liability insurance policy in excess of £10 million, Josh White, BCA insurance manager, has been in discussions with Howden, our insurance broker, about the possibility of increasing our maximums under our policy to ensure full coverage for members in the instance of a claim being made.

We are pleased to announce that as of 18 October 2023 the policy maximum has been increased from £10 million to £20 million. This has come at the cost of approximately £1 per person per year for this additional top up layer. It is important to note that any insurance coverage would be based on the limits in place at the time of the incident not at the time of any settlement.
