Those of you who are in Europe should read about the Directive curently going through, as it will affect the status of mapping data here.

If you think mapping data collected by public bodies should be available to the public for free (so that we can make maps and cave visualisations with it, for example, as we can with American map data), then you need to sign the petition asking for this to happen, and ideally contact your MEP about it.
